Tennessee's ESA runs through your umbrella school. Track it cleanly.
Tennessee's Education Freedom Scholarship (~$7,530, TDOE portal) and ESA (~$10,188, ClassWallet) require enrolling under a registered umbrella or church school — independent homeschoolers registered only with the district don't qualify. The ESA Wallet tracks your approved spending and keeps your records straight within that arrangement.
- Records that fit the umbrella / church-school requirement
- Don't miss the ~17-day January application window
- Spend tracked per child
Tennessee is private-gated — you must enroll under a Category I–III school to access the funds. This is not independent-homeschool money.
